Christine Cegavske has expertly crafted a bewitching stop-motion animation masterpiece. With a totally unique fairytale weirdness and gothic sensibility, we meet red-eyed, vampire ruffle-necked mice playing cards and drinking blood tea. An egg is sewn up inside a doll and hatches, tearing the seams apart. A spider woman spins a web, and foxes are enveloped by deadly plants, saved by a frog's magic sceptre.
