Jack Smith has been hailed as the most influential artist of the last 50 years, the godfather of performance art and the William Blake of film. This wonderfully inventive documentary charts his legacy from the groundbreaking and notoriously controversial Flaming Creatures to his collaborations with Andy Warhol, legendary and unpredictable performances and his contentious philosophies on capitalism, critics and institutional art 'gatekeepers'. Contributors include Jonas Mekas, John Waters, Ken Jacobs, Andrew Sarris, Mary Woronov and John Zorn .
