The pioneering digital filmmakers The Finnigans return to the Film Festival with an absorbing film that's much darker than their previous work. A biting tale of revenge and retribution, it sees a woman drawn into a web of lies after her husband disappears. Despite its low budget this is a taut and disturbing affair brilliantly acted by a non-professional cast whilst the cinematography makes excellent use of the seamier side of Glasgow. A bleakly brilliant treat from two of the UK's most underrated filmmakers.
