The new Leeds Film Quarter continues its first year-round programme, exploring the vast and challenging universe of cinema that lies beyond the known mainstream. Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the end of World War II, LFQ Wartime Perspectives presents a series of must-see films from early classics including Naked Among Wolves, Army in the Shadows, and The Cranes are Flying, to recent acclaimed successes like Downfall.

The Mama Africa season is a unique chance to experience acclaimed films by women from a continent that is very rarely explored by cinema programmes. Highlights from the London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival roll out, while LFQ Specials deliver an exciting line-up of previews including John Sayles' Silver City and the Dogtown and Z-Boys inspired feature, Lords of Dogtown.
