Leeds International Film Festival presents highlights from the second edition of Hors Pistes (Off-Track), Centre Pompidou's picks of the most interesting outsider films. A diverse collection of film and video works from around the world, these films use new and experimental approaches that defy conventional genres. Sur Place provides multiple perspectives on the 2006 Parisian riots. Once Upon a Time develops one circular tracking shot in a bourgeois sitting room, filled with an increasingly absurd menagerie of animals. Uku Ukai is a philosophical dance movie which explores responses of the physical body to attitudes towards mortality.
