Celebrating Leeds on Film - 800th Anniversary Special Free Event

Monday 12th November marks the 800th Anniversary of the founding of the city of Leeds. In the unique and suitably historic setting of Holy Trinity Church, the Film Festival presents remarkable footage of Leeds from the last hundred years. Curated and introduced by Binnie Baker from the Yorkshire Film Archive, footage includes the earliest known scenes of the city on film, breathtaking images of Golden Acre Park, fascinating colour recordings of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, and more treasures from the archive.
