The World Animation Award is a showcase of the latest trends, techniques and styles on the international scene. As this programme confirms, animation is a unique art form, allowing for exploration of new ways of expression that can astonish and move the audience. The ebullient stop-motion Madame Tutli-Putli has realistic, genuine characters whose expression of emotion is second to none. Our man in Nirvana is a combination of drawing and digital techniques where a performing musician has a near-death experience in Nirvana, a place where he must face his fears and his past.
