Pioneering activist filmmakers Ernesto Cabellos and Stephanie Boyd present an inspiring story of the power of non-violent resistance. The people of Tambogrande, a village in rural Peru, are united by a martyred community leader who was killed in suspicious circumstances. Together they manage to thwart an aggressive mining company, backed by covert government support, in their efforts to destroy the village community life and the local mango and lime farming infrastructure in order to build a lucrative gold mine.
