A family man becomes a prostitute to support his family in this darkly comic Finnish gem which stands among the absolute best of Finnish contemporary cinema. The unemployed and desperate Juha spins a web of lies to his family to hide the fact he was fired and has now taken up the sordid – and thankless - life of a gigolo. As long as his wife Katja stays away from her antidepressants, everything's fine...except of course it isn't! With a blissfully surprising finale, this really is an exceptional – and strangely funny - film.
