Meet David Pearlman aka Poppa Neutrino, now 74, who has named himself after "a sub-atomic particle in constant motion". He doesn't work, pay rent, listen to doctors or pay attention to institutions, preferring to invent his life as he goes along, whether he's sailing the Atlantic on a home-made raft, inventing a new football play or touring the world with his band, the Flying Neutrinos made up of his wife and motley crew of stepchildren and disciples.
Drunk on Virtue
Dir. Hope Tucker
USA, 2007, 28 mins
UK Premiere
For over 100 summers in the US, kids who don’t need money have sold lemonade to adults who aren’t thirsty. Drunk on Virtue is a history of the lemonade stand in America, an icon of entrepreneurialism in a country smitten with capitalism.
