Rev. Jim Jones, infamous leader of the People's Temple and the mass 'suicide' of 1978, is resurrected in this unbelievable documentary featuring amazing, never-before-seen archival footage. We meet him as father, political power broker, preacher, son of a dysfunctional family, molester, saviour, integrationist and killer, and the film asks us to set aside preconceived notions of the laced Kool-Aid 'cult' and to consider also the idealism and merits of People's Temple. Told through interviews with survivors and Jones' own family members.
