Hashimoto is a scientist obsessed with understanding life after death. When he and his team trap the ghost of a child they believe they will be able to find the answers they are looking for. Unwittingly however, they unleash an evil force connected to the ghost via an ethereal thread. As the scientists start dying, it becomes a race against time to understand what has been released and how to stop it.
Similar in feel to Ju-On (The Grudge), Silk will both unsettle and scare.
