Similar in style to Andrei Tarkovsky's films and reminiscent of The Midwich Cuckoos, Ugly Swans is a beautifully arranged art-house sci-fi film, which looks at the rift that exists between generations and what happens when a country becomes afraid of its youth.
When a group of strange beings, calling themselves Aquatters, set up a school to teach the brightest of the world's children how to unlock their true potential, a reporter makes a desperate attempt to save his daughter before the military destroys them all.
