A heart-wrenching true story of love in Nazi Germany. In 1936 in Poland, Jurek and Stella fell madly in love and married, to be divided by war – Jurek to Auschwitz, Stella to Germany. After the war he searched for her, only to discover she had re-married. 60 years later and Jurek has to know - why did Stella give up on their love? After all these years apart, they arrange to meet once more in Poland... Screening with 'The Unkosher Truth'. Chana's father – an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi and a US army general - doesn't know she's in love with a German non-Jew. On a road trip she reveals her burdensome secret. Fascinating.
