Tango, the great musical art form of Argentina had seemed old hat to the younger generation until it was reclaimed by a dynamic group of young wannabe rock stars, initially boasting more enthusiasm and attitude than musical talent: Orquesta Tipica. Charting their rise from charismatic street buskers to international stars, Nicolas Entel's equally dynamic film begins with a pair of scruffy slackers pushing a battered piano through the streets of Buenos Aires and ends in a triumphant tour of Europe.
