21st Leeds International Film Festival starts!
The gala opening Persepolis has sold out, as has the 8.45pm screening of Robert Rodriguez's over-the-top zombie-fest Planet Terror. Tickets for the repeat screenings are still available.

Short Film Guide now available.
The short film guide which provides details of the 16 short film programmes and synopses of all 146 short films is available from Wednesday 7 November from the Visitor Centre in The Light and from the City Centre Box Office in The Carriageworks.The free guide is jam-packed with photos and information about the films and is an essential companion to the main Film Festival brochure.

Persepolis to open Leeds International Film Festival.
One of the most talked-about and most acclaimed films of the year, Persepolis is the opening film of Official Selection of the 21st Leeds International Film Festival on 7th November. A unique and highly-entertaining French animation about the coming-of-age of a young Iranian girl during the Islamic Revolution, Persepolis is based on the autobiographical graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi who also co-directs the film.
