Casino Royale

The Film Festival has an educational year-round programme Film Academy, which has been inspired by the Film Festival workshop events and feedback from young people.

The young people involved in 2006 - 2007 programme got to meet the producers of Casino Royale, work alongside professional scriptwriters, editors, directors and filmmakers and gain an Arts Award qualification. On top of this they got to see some fantastic films including the world premiere of their own short films at an Oscars-like ceremony at Vue cinema.

The 2007-2008 programme is now nearly complete, with the new cohort screening the short films they made during the half-term holidays. Look out for the first screenings of ther films at the Leeds Young People's Film Festival on Saturday 29 March at Vue Cinema, Kirkstall.
