Join the jury!
Do you like watching films? Fancy yourself as the next Jonathon Ross on Film 2008? Think you could be a film reviewer?
If you can answer yes to any of these questions then you should be part of the team that decides the winning films at the 9th Leeds Young People's Film Festival. The Film Festival, which runs between 27 March - 4 April 2008, is giving young people from across the region the opportunity to be a member of the prestigious Film Festival Jury.
All members of the jury will watch a number of Festival films and decide upon their favourite one. Whether it be a dramatic documentary, scary sci-fi or cracking comedy, being a part of the jury will give you the chance to have your say about films from across the world. You'll also get a pass to the Festival (excluding the opening gala and any films that you can't go and see because of their certificate), an invitation to the Festival grand finale and an exclusive Film Festival T-Shirt.
In return we ask to attend all your required screenings, be prepared to let us know what you think about the films and – most importantly – bring bags of enthusiasm.
To apply all you need to do is to tell us about a film that you have already seen, whether you really loved it or hated it and why.
Send them to : Martin Grund, The Town Hall, The Headrow, Leeds, LS1 3AD or email them to martin@leedsyoungfilm.com. Make sure you include your name, address, age and contact details.
We need your applications by Friday 21 March 2008, so get watching!
