Aug 26th Union Mash Up, Hull, Pay What You Decide

We’re working in partnership with Hull Independent Cinema to bring the best short films to Hull every month. For August we’re showcasing the delights of London International Animation Festival with a handpicked selection of the Best of British Animation. Including Don’t Fear Death which features the voice of Rik Mayall and Anatole’s Island starring Peter Serafinowicz.

Does anything define British Animation? The wealth of styles in this programme would seem to deny any binding characteristic other than diversity. The breadth and mixture of animation techniques alone make this a rich and varied treat. They are adeptly put to use, each film projecting its individual vision, its own slice of life.

Films in the programme:

In the Air is Christopher Gray (Dir. Felix Massie)

Montenegro  (Dir. Luiz Stockler)

The Dewberry Empire (Dir. Christian Schlaeffer)

Don’t Fear Death (Dir. Louis Hudson)

On Loop (Dir. Christine Hooper)

The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat (Dir. Ross Hogg)
