Given the plethora of zombie films that exist it’s hard to find one that has a new take on the undead apocalypse, so this year we were delighted to find not one, but two films that breathe new life into this genre. Alongside Juan of the Dead, Cuba’s first zombie film, we have Exit Humanity, set against the backdrop of the American Civil War. With loving attention to detail, beautiful cinematography, classical animation and a very personal story of one man’s journey to find redemption in a world where he has lost everything meaningful in his life, Exit Humanity is an epic zombie saga about the battle between good vs. evil.
