Fans of the much-loved John Carpenter classic: here’s your chance to delve into the back story of one of the most horrific monster movies of all time at one of the film’s first screenings in the UK. The Thing acts as a prequel, offering an alternative story with a focus on the Norwegian scientist’s point of view of the original horrific events. The Thing is the first theatrical feature film by director Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. who, as anyone who has seen in the recent ‘red band’ trailer for the film, has tackled a terrifying new version of the monster itself, whilst promising as much body horror and gore as Carpenter’s 80s classic.
