Whilst celebrating the wonderful array of International filmmaking talent active today is undoubtedly key to the festival, it is also great to be reminded of the terrific talent working not only here in the UK but also right on our doorstep! This year’s outstanding selection includes: Tetley’s – Quality Pays, an insightful documentary about the closure of a Leeds institution; Lost At Sea, part stop motion animation part live action fun from Yorkshire wunderkind Broken Pixel (Ashley Dean); and Bantam, a subtle drama about the friendship between a troubled youth and an older farmer set against the stunning Yorkshire Moors.
