Experience cinema in new ways for free at LIFF29

LIFF29 presents a great variety of free screenings and events, a unique line-up of alternative film experiences in many of the city’s favourite venues. Free tickets need to be reserved to guarantee entry, except for the LIFF29 Dailies.

LIFF29 Dailies, 5 to 19 November

The LIFF29 Dailies are a series of drop-in short film experiences and a film poster exhibition that take place every day of the film festival (except for Parallel Worlds which runs for 3 days). No reserved free tickets are required for the LIFF29 Dailies.

Leeds Free Cinema Week, 6 – 12 November

LIFF presents its second annual Leeds Free Cinema Week from 6 November with a wide selection of film experiences. The line-up includes a Saturday 9am ‘detention time’ screening of classic teen movie The Breakfast Club, silent masterpiece The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari with organ accompaniment, live play of blockbuster video game Fallout 4, and the popular Leeds Short Film Audience Award – now expanded to four venues.
