Meet the Makers

As well as a vast film programme, LIFF30 hosts numerous filmmaker Q&As after screenings and FREE industry events for people interested in working in the film, TV and media industry.

We add events to this list as they get confirmed, so keep an eye out for the latest on filmmaker Q&As and festival guests! All events are subject to change.

Whether you are just interested in film, a young creative looking to play a part in the creative industries or a filmmaker with a track record of independent productions, our Meet the Makers sessions are for you. These sessions, Q&As, panels and socials give you the chance to meet people in the industry, get advice, try the latest filmmaking equipment, find out how to get your film selected at film festivals and network with other like-minded people.

There are plenty of opportunities to Meet the Makers at LIFF30. Why not stay for a filmmaker Q&A after a screening or join us for one of our networking events (9-12 Nov)? And if you are contemplating a career in the creative industries, don’t miss our FREE panels on how to give yourself (12 Nov) or your film (13 Nov) a head start.
