Horror fans are in for a (trick or) treat during LIFF 2018 as Day of the Dead returns bringing you a special preview of Suspiria from director Luca Guadagnino on Saturday 3 November at Leeds Town Hall.
Headlining our Day of the Dead selection this year, Suspiria stars Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson as members of an ill-fated Berlin dance company. A re-imagining of the book by Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, Suspiria is a long-nurtured passion project from Luca Guadagnino who has been inspired by Dario Argento's original film since he was 14.
Night of the Dead
LIFF's legendary Night of the Dead returns to Hyde Park Picture House on Friday 9 November and kicks off with Nightmare Cinema, a new horror film experience echoing classic anthology series like The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.
Nightmare Cinema centres on a group of down-on-their-luck individuals who enter the Rialto Theatre where their deepest and darkest fears are brought to life onscreen by The Projectionist (Mickey Rourke), a ghostly figure who holds the nightmarish futures of all who attend - and can't escape - his screenings.
