Back to the Future in concert with Opera North

As part of its Summer Series, Millennium Square presents Back to the Future – In Concert with the Orchestra of Opera North.

Power up your DeLorean, recharge your flux capacitor and get ready to celebrate Back to the Future as you’ve never seen it before. Fans both old and new can experience the much-loved 80s classic with the Orchestra of Opera North performing Alan Silvestri’s dazzling musical score live in sync with the film. The performance will include approximately twenty minutes of brand new music added to the film by award-winning composer Silvestri especially for these unique live orchestra presentations.

Back to the Future, starring Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Crispin Glover, topped the 1985 box office chart, spawned two wildly successful sequels and stamped an enduring imprint on pop culture. In the iconic time-traveling adventure, Marty McFly suddenly finds himself transported back to 1955, where he struggles to change the destiny of his parents, rescue an eccentric friend from terrorists and solve a plutonium crisis… all while trying to ensure he has a future to get back to!
