Experience films in stunning concert surround sound in Victoria Hall

For LIFF30 the Victoria Hall features a new digital cinema surround sound system that will create a concert experience for films featuring classic soundtracks and stunning sound effects. The 7.1 digital system will be used for all films, with highlights including sci-fi favourites like Aliens, The Matrix and Redline, Michael Mann’s action epic Heat (screening in a new digital cinema print), Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Shining, Daft Punk’s Interstella 5555, and arguably the greatest concert film of all time, Talking Head’s Stop Making Sense. For a breakfast time concert film experience, Pulp Fiction screens at 10am on 12 November. Also featured is Able Gance’s epic Napoleon, an undisputed masterpiece of cinema now re-released as part of a 50 year restoration project.
