Join the teams of some of the UK's leading festivals

We have two exciting opportunities to join the teams of some of the UK's leading festivals including:

  • the UK’s largest annual arts and light festival Light Night Leeds (14 and 15 October 2021);
  • the Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying Leeds International Film Festival (3 to 18 November 2021);
  • the UK’s largest film festival for children and families, Leeds Young Film Festival (Easter 2022).

We are looking for a number of people to join both of two casual pool roles which will support the successful delivery of the festivals. You can apply via the Leeds City Council jobs site and please see links and closing dates under each role below.

Venue & Zone Coordinators

The role will coordinate screening or event activities, audiences and volunteers at a venue or within a zone for festivals: venues include cinemas like Vue at The Light Leeds and Everyman Leeds, and zones include areas of arts activities like Millennium Square and Victoria Leeds. The responsibilities of the role will include: coordinating screening or event activities and schedules at a venues or within a zone; coordinating a team of volunteers at a venue or within a zone and look after their safety and well-being; and coordinating ticket sales and seating.

Venue & Zone Supervisors

The role will supervise screening or event activities, audiences and teams across venues or zone areas for festivals: venues include cinemas like Vue at The Light Leeds and Everyman Leeds, and zones include areas of arts activities like Millennium Square and Victoria Leeds. The responsibilities of the role will include: supervising screening or event activities and schedules across multiple venues or zones; supervising teams across multiple venues or zones and looking after their safety and wellbeing; and supervising the safety of the public.
