Leeds International Film Festival Submissions

The King’s Speech – Second Screening Added

On Friday we announced that our Opening Gala film, The King’s Speech had sold out. Since this year’s programme has been announced there has been an overwhelming demand for the screening (and many others!) and we can now announce that the film has been selected to fill one of our Film Festival Favourite screening slots.

The extra screening of the hugely anticipated British drama will be at 4pm on Saturday 20th November in Hyde Park Picture House. The city’s premier art-house cinema has a smaller capacity than Leeds Town Hall so we anticipate that tickets won’t last long, buy yours now to ensure that you won’t miss out! (You can do that by calling Box office on 0113 224 3801 or by clicking here)

The Film Festival is only 2 days away now, the new screen has been suspended in Leeds Town Hall and the digital surround sound system is being installed. There is a flurry of excitement starting to fill our venues and for those of you who were lucky enough to get tickets for the Opening Gala you can try a dram anCnoc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky and Reel Ale prior to the film on Thursday – watch out for some special anCnoc sampling trays.
