Leeds International Film Festival now BAFTA-recognised

Leeds International Film Festival is delighted to announce its selection as a BAFTA-recognised festival for 2012/13 for the Short Film category at the annual Orange British Academy Film Awards. The category is open to live-action fiction shorts from the UK: submissions selected for Leeds will be considered for short-listing for the Orange British Academy Film Awards. Selection is now nearing completion for the 26th edition of Leeds International Film Festival, 1st to 18th November. All UK and International short film submissions will be considered for competitions and panoramas in the Short Film City programme section. Competitions include the Louis le Prince International Short Film Competition, the World Animation Award, and the Best of British / Best of Yorkshire selections. Leeds prioritises the screening of new and outstanding work that deserves broader attention. The final entry deadline is 31st August and individual entry is through withoutabox.com.
