Retrospectives top 5

In addition to the LIFF27 Audience Award for Best Film, here are the five top rated Retrospective films screening at the festival. The list is lead by Masaki Kobayashi’s Harakiri – part of a Retrospective of the Japanese master of cinema’s work to be shown at LIFF27, which is still to include a screening of his legendary Samurai Rebellion at Hyde Park Picture House – from a 35mm print shipped especially from Japan just for this screening – this Saturday.  The Third Man also featured as part of our Classic Thrillers in Leeds Town Hall selection, which still screenings of Le circle rouge and Peeping Tom to come.
