Programme Launch Announced

We can reveal that we will be launching our full programme of events on Friday 7th October at Leeds Town Hall as part of Light Night, the annual multi-platform event in Leeds city centre. Our giant cinema screen will be re-emerging from the Victoria Hall stage to present our LIFF25 clip reel and a free surprise feature film. Times will be announced very soon on our website along with details of further LIFF25 preview events. Each year we hand out thousands of official guides at the launch so make sure that you get your copy first to ensure that you’re at this year’s sell out screenings. Following the launch, the official guide will be available from our pick-up points including the Town Hall, City Centre Box Office and Leeds Visitor Centre and online at www.leedsfilm.com

Help us develop LIFF25 to win a Single Pass

LIFF25 begins in less than 3 months time and we’re looking for your help to develop this year’s event. We’ve already seen your comments on our social networking pages, emails and responses on our questionnaires handed out during the 24th Leeds International Film Festival but we need more feedback to ensure that we’re providing you with the Film Festival you want. In order for you to continue to guide our decisions we’ve created an online survey and we’re holding two focus group sessions on Wednesday 31st August at 6pm and 7.30pm.

Our online survey has been based on some of the comments we’ve already received and it will take you less than 15 minutes to complete. By completing the survey you’ll not only be providing us with valuable information, you’ll be in with the chance to win a LIFF25 Single Pass. You can complete the survey by visiting http://bit.ly/o1yYCr The survey will close on Friday 2nd September.

Our focus groups are a regular part of our calendar; each year we endeavour to meet as many of you as possible to find out where you want to hear more about the Film Festival, what you like and what you don’t. This year’s focus groups provide an informal setting for discussion with our team and will take place in Leeds Town Hall with snacks and drinks available, they should take no longer than 45 minutes. If you wish to attend a focus group reply to this email letting us know which session you can make.
