Not For Rental presents The Lego Movie – Tuesday 28 April, The Carriageworks

Missing Leeds Young Film Festival already? Fear not – our season of Not For Rental films at The Carriageworks continues next week with the hilarious Lego Movie. Featuring the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett and Morgan Freeman, The Lego Movie tells the story of Emmet, an ordinary citizen mistaken for a master architect and depended on to stop the Lego universe from being glued in place by the evil Lord Business.  

Not For Rental bridges the gap for audiences between the viewing experience of Leeds Young Film Festival and Leeds International Film Festival. In collaboration with The Carriageworks theatre, we’re bringing a series of exciting, challenging and rarely seen films to the big screen. The programme features the best cinema from around the world, including documentaries and films covering everything from comedy to horror, action to drama. Tickets are excellent value at just £3.00 each.

Please note that all films start at 7.00pm, with doors open from 6.45pm. Tickets for all films are on sale now.

The Lego Movie (2014)

An ordinary Lego construction worker, thought to be the prophesied ‘Special’, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the Lego universe into eternal stasis.

Documentary about an aspiring filmmaker’s attempts to finance his dream project by finally completing the low-budget horror film he abandoned years before.

The Way Way Back (2013)

Shy 14-year-old Duncan goes on summer vacation with his family. Having a rough time fitting in, Duncan finds an unexpected friend in Owen, manager of the Water Wizz water park.
