We're delighted to be working with Sony Home Entertainment, to give away two bundles of newly released Blu-rays from The Criterion Collection's exceptional series of classic and contemporary cinema each month.
April's releases include:
Charulata (1964) - An exquisite film by Satyajit Ray, a work of subtle textures, a delicate tale of a marriage in jeopardy and a woman taking the first steps toward establishing her own voice.
The Darjeeling Limited (2007) - Wes Anderson's visually dazzling and hilarious film, about three brothers travelling across India, takes his work to richer, deeper places than ever before.
Secrets & Lies (1996) - Mike Leigh's Palme d’Or–winning tour de force of sustained tension and catharsis that lays bare the emotional fault lines running beneath the surface of everyday lives.
For a chance to win April's new releases, answer the following question: What was the name of the first film directed by Satyajit Ray, in 1955?
Please email answers to leeds.film@leeds.gov.uk by midnight on Friday 30th April 2021.
The competition is open to UK residents only.
