Crafted from over 100 years of footage in the British Film Institute National Archive, Arcadia is an entirely new film about our changing relationship with the land. Director Paul Wright constructs a beautiful paean to the land, set to a soundtrack by Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) and Adrian Utley (Portishead). From the earliest days of movie-making to the present day, the film features rare and unseen material of local celebrations and festivals, agricultural practices through the seasons, village life and lost crafts, and examines change in rural life and landscape.
