Disney-Pixar turn their attention to the Mexican custom of Day of the Dead for their latest visually stunning BAFTA-winning adventure. Young Miguel dreams of becoming a famous musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz but, because of his family’s generations-old ban on music, he has to practice in secret. Following an accident in the tomb of his idol, Miguel finds himself in the brightly coloured and exciting yet dangerous land of the dead. Here he meets his ancestors and discovers why his family hate music so much, while trying to figure out how to get home.

The Hyde Park Picture House screening on Sat 31 March will be accompanied by a workshop with Handmade Cinema, where you will be able to create your very own Day of the Dead sugar skull stone.

The Cineworld screenings will be preceded by the short animation Catastrophe (Dir. Jamille van Wijngaarden, Netherlands, 2017, 2min, No Dialogue) and the LYFF 2018 trailer. To purchase tickets for the screening at Cineworld see below:
