Germany is arguably one of the greatest producers of techno in the world, and Romauld Karmakar’s documentary capitalises upon this pulsating history in his portrait of the Berghain’s DJs, musicians and techno activists, taking a deep and searching look at the German club scene and its gradual emergence from the underground. The brightest talents from the scene - including Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear, Ata, Move D and Roman Flugel – tap into their broad horizon of experience from which they speak about themselves, their subculture and the importance of German electronic music scene.
