The second of our BAFTA Qualifying British Competitions explores dispossessed stories and claustrophobic visuals, which allow insight into the lives of those who remain unseen. A unique and curious mixture of the best that British filmmakers have to offer allows an uninhibited view of stories depicting marginalisation, alienation and loneliness, which are often experienced in isolation, away from inquisitive viewers. The shorts range from horticultural entrapment in the dark and whimsical comedy FERN, to a tangible view of isolation in the visually striking drama Invisible.
