LIFF's annual horror marathons Day of the Dead and Night of the Dead return to venues in 2021. Day of the Dead is on 6 November at Vue in The Light and you can buy a DOTD pass for the whole day: individual tickets are available for repeats of the films after 6 November and you can also view them for a limited time on Leeds Film Player.

Atmospheric and creepy are the themes for Day of the Dead this year, with four claustrophobic tales of terror from across the globe. A woman with a fragile mental state is tormented by weird noises in the walls and ceiling of her apartment in Knocking, children discover their secret powers during the Norwegian summer in a monolithic housing estate in The Innocents, and a widowed mother’s seemingly perfect routine crumbles when her eldest daughter stops eating in A Banquet. In contrast a blind woman must defend herself against a home invasion in the slick action thriller See For Me.
