Home viewing recommendations and LIFF curated programming

The need to temporarily close cultural venues across the UK has meant an enormous change to the way we all live our lives. With the guidance to stay at home, we aren’t able to join in the experiences that usually provide us with excitement and inspiration. Most importantly for us at Leeds Film, that means going to the cinema! However, the film industry has been exceptionally quick to adapt to our new circumstances, with a remarkable selection of new online content available that hadn’t existed previously. In Film at Home, we’re be bringing you all the very best in film culture online.

Our recommendations include a wealth of online film festivals which you can experience from your own home, live-streamed events with special guest Q&As, and the latest releases newly available online, from acclaimed new features to hidden gems from throughout film history. We give you an expert guide to online film culture that you won’t find anywhere else, reflecting the unique variety of film experiences brought to you by Leeds Film all year-round, and by those partners who help make Leeds a city renowned for its film culture.

We're also curating programming online just for you, including selections of short films chosen especially by our team which we have presented at LIFF over the last two decades. Click on the links below for our LIFF Presents curated programming and regularly-updated Film at Home guides:
