Gage Oxley

 
Gage Oxley, Writer/Director

Gage Oxley is a writer/director, and the managing director of Oxygen Films, a multi-award winning, non-profit, community-interest production company based in Leeds. His role involves working with international charities, young creatives and LGBTQ* organisations around the world to create challenging motion pictures that facilitate and encourage open discussion on some of the most difficult aspects of a modern LGBTQ* community. His latest feature film had its World Premiere in Leicester Square and US Premiere a stone’s throw away from the Hollywood Sign.

Alfie Barker


Alfie Barker, Writer/Director

Alfie is an award-winning writer / director, graduate of the NFTS Talent Campus run by the BFI. His most recent short, I WAS 3 starring Katie Jarvis (Fish Tank) premiered at Sundance London Film Festival and was then chosen as a finalist for the Ignite Competition. He has a TV mini-series that he’s directed and produced, due to be broadcast in 2019. His films have had special recognition from the likes of Danny Boyle, Shane Meadows and Asif Kapadia.

Sian Carry


Sian Carry, Student

Sian is an up and coming producer and director best known for her producing work with Leeds-based film production company Oxygen films, where she is currently Head of Production. Presently a student at the University of Salford, Sian is continuing to develop her skills and hopes to create many more meaningful films for audiences to enjoy.

Jeanine Guerida


Jeanine Guerida, Independent Filmmaker

Jeanine Guerida is a filmmaker and photographer graduate of the Northern Film School. Jeanine works mainly in social content having experience with creating viral content for companies such as Ladbible and currently working at Opera North as an in-house Assistant Multimedia Producer.

Sam Judd


Sam Judd, Independent Filmmaker/Stand-Up Comic

Sam Judd was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire in 1997. He was completely able bodied up until the age of four when he had a brain stem stroke. He is now a full-time wheelchair user and speaks with the help of an electronic talker called a Liberator. Sam has been involved with Leeds Young Film throughout the years, and is an alumni of the BFI film academy. He has also wrote and directed a number of independent short films. In 2019 he graduated from The Northern Film School with a BA (Hons) in filmmaking.
Sam also does stand-up comedy which he started in 2018. His self-deprecating humour challenges stereotypes and the expectations of others. He has now performed at multiple venues throughout the North of England including Leeds University Student Union. He calls himself 'The World's First Sit-Down Comic'.

Louisa Rose-Mackleston


Louisa Rose-Mackleston, Independent filmmaker/Photographer

Louisa Rose Mackleston is a Yorkshire based Assistant Director, Photographer and Filmmaker. Louisa works predominantly as an Assistant Director on indie films, her most recent credits include Zebra Girl, Shagbands (Film4, BFI & Sundance funded) & Everybody's Talking About Jamie. In the summer of 2019 Louisa released her first film, Yorkshire Day, a visual poem that she wrote and directed. Louisa is currently working on her latest project, a scripted short called A Selfish Act that she hopes to film early 2020.
