Welcome to the INDIs Film Festival!

The 10th INDIs Festival is dedicated to emerging film talent and film lovers and is entirely online from 18 - 20 February. With a host of FREE events spanning three days, you can join our masterclasses including intensive script and story sessions, hands-on with Nikon, a deep dive into Intimacy on Screen as well as an insight into making it in the industry with young independent film talent who have built names and careers for themselves from the ground up. And, to round off a weekend packed with sessions to inspire young talent, we will be showcasing our top short films made by young people with our INDIs Young Filmmaker Awards, sponsored by Leeds City College and Ghetto Film School, which will be livestreamed on our channels

Imaginative and compelling, this year's feature film selection for the INDIs Film Festival illuminates human experience through a fascinating range of topics from climate change to sexuality to activism across the entire world.

Spanning over a month of digital screenings of the best in new independent cinema and one weekend of free masterclasses including script and story sessions, hands-on workshops with Nikon and trailblazing events, you can schedule your own Festival for when it suits you. With a huge range of guests the Festival has been programmed and designed by young creators, with the intent of championing young and independent filmmaking that breaks down the door, never-mind getting a foot in it.

At the heart of the Festival is the INDIs Filmmakers Competition, sponsored by Leeds City College and Ghetto Film School. With submissions of film independently made by young people reaching over 400, the titles on the Official Selection have made a significant impression and are tipped to be the rising stars of British cinema. A live jury of industry professionals will judge all films in competition, and award one title as the Best Film in its age category.
