19.00 – 20.00 BFI NETWORK Shorts Showcase Q+A
Watch a brilliant selection of BFI Network shorts for free on Leeds Film Player. Exploring a wide range of themes and subjects from period horror to people trafficking. We’ll be chatting with some of the talent behind these shorts and finding out what it took to realise their ideas on screen.

17th November – Feature Focus

10.00 – 13.00 BFI NETWORK Filmmaker Surgeries: Early Feature Film Development
Filmmakers based in the North of England can book a 30min, 1-2-1 meeting with BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Roxy Mckenna to discuss their early stage feature film idea. Projects must be at pre-script stage. Roxy is available to talk about your project and how our talent development programmes and funding can help. (This is now fully booked)

14.00 – 15.00 Debut Feature Q+A: ARRACHT 
BFI Network host a Q+A with the team behind ARRACHT Tom Sullivan’s stunning feature debut set during the Great Famine of Ireland. Following it’s run at LIFF we’ll be chatting with Tom and exploring what it took to take this multi-award winning feature from script to screen. This webinar will be hosted by Ferdia MacAonghusa. 18.00 – 19.30 BFI Network X LIFF MIXER
The BFI NETWORK X LIFF Mixer is aimed at Northern based writers and writer-directors who are developing their debut feature projects and have yet to find a producer. This informal online meet up will be an opportunity for Northern talent to meet producers from the LIFF programme and beyond with a view to forging new connections and collaborations. The BFI NETWORK team will also be in attendance to keep things moving; we'll make introductions and keep you up to date with our latest funding and talent development opportunities. 18th November – Shorts Focus

10.00 – 11.00 & 12.00 – 13.00 BFI Network Short Film Funding Round Tables 
Do you have an amazing script or idea for a short film? BFI Network support early career writers, directors and producers with funding for short film production. Join BFI Network Talent Executives from across England at a roundtable to find out more about the fund, how to make a strong application and how BFI Network can support you to develop your work. This session is open to writers, directors and producers based in England. (This is now fully booked)

14.00 – 15.00 Script to Screen: Funding, Making and Distributing Short Film
Do you want to know how to get your short film from the page to the screen? This webinar will demystify shorts production and give you the opportunity to hear from a panel of experienced shorts producers as they discuss the life cycle of short film production and exhibition, offering tips and advice from their years of experience making award winning short films.
