A big screen spectacle like no other, Koyaanisqatsi is an awe inspiring, dialogue free film odyssey about the relationship between humans, nature and technology.

Featuring one of the most iconic soundtracks in film history by Philip Glass, Koyaanisqatsi is an audiovisual extravaganza by filmmaker Godfrey Reggio. He used an innovative synthesis of slow motion and time lapse camera techniques to explore the effects of urban life and technology on the environment. Koyaanisqatsi is a Hopi Indian word meaning unbalanced life. It was originally screened as an exciting event film experience in the Radio City Music Hall, don’t miss the opportunity to experience it on a similar scale with full concert sound on the big screen in Millennium Square.

‘Koyaanisqatsi's formula is simple: combine the epic, remarkable cinematography of Ron Fricke with the swelling intensity and repeating motifs of Philip Glass's celebrated original score. There's your mood bomb, right there.’ — Leo Hickman, The Guardian
