Planning a horror movie, or just wanting to add a level of realism to the effects in your film?

Professional make-up and SFX artist Laura Dickey will demonstrate how to create a car crash victim showing a range of techniques including bruising, grazes and cuts using a 3-part silicone system. Budding artists can then practice the techniques on themselves and each other.

You must be over 15 to attend this workshop. Under 18s will be required to complete a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.

Laura Dickey

Laura has been working in the make-up industry for the past 7 years. She currently teaches on the Media Makeup course at Leeds City College, lecturing on both the Special Effects and Prosthetics modules. Having graduated from the Media Makeup course at the Arts University Bournemouth, Laura specialised her studies within prosthetic effects. Alongside prosthetics, she has a strong passion for fashion editorial and film/television work. Laura has worked for various companies and clients including; Channel 4, ASOS, IMATS, Embrace, Look Fantastic, Feróce Magazine, Benefit Cosmetics, Dior and MAC Cosmetics. To date, her experience has involved bridal and special occasion makeup, music videos, television documentaries, short films, a virtual reality gaming app, and feature film; ‘Official Secrets’.
