With a career in TV presenting spanning eight years (and a quiff that on a good day spans eight inches), Ben Shires is the irrepressible host of CBBC’s BAFTA-nominated World Record show, Officially Amazing and Match of the Day Kickabout.

In this brand new masterclass, he shares the secrets of hosting TV programmes through hands on workshops, fun games and outrageous anecdotes that will appeal to wannabe TV stars, performers and Youtubers alike, along with anyone who appreciates high quality vintage knitwear.

As well as interactive activities throughout, there will also be a meet and greet and Q&A included, where Ben promises to answer anything you ask him…well, almost anything. Don’t miss this truly once in a lifetime opportunity* to peek behind the telly curtain with the man who’s been there, done it and worn the tank top

* at least until he does the next one.

Suitable for age 8+. Children do not need to be accompanied by an adult but a consent form must be completed and brought to the workshop

About Ben Shires

Ben Shires has spent most of the past decade trying to convince his parents that giving up his job as a lawyer to pursue a career in TV was the right thing to do. Having seen him present numerous programmes in that time, they’re still on the fence.

Despite this, Ben has busied himself hosting oodles of stuff over the past few years, from award winning (and more often losing) kids TV shows, to live events with CBBC, BAFTA, the Premier League and the Southbank centre. Most recently he co-hosted the Children’s BAFTA Awards ceremony and is a regular host at festivals across the country. On top of all that, he also has a pretty nifty quiff.
