Ever wanted to be Superman, Wonder Woman or your very own superhero? Professional film, TV and Theatre costume designer Jane Allen will work with you to understand how to put together a costume and bring your imagination to life. Study some iconic characters in film and discover the designers who created their costumes. Using professional techniques get to design your own superhero costume! For anyone wanting to learn more about costume design especially if you are thinking of creating your own film production.

Age 8+. Children do not need to be accompanied by an adult but a consent form must be completed and brought to the workshop.

About Jane Allen
Jane is a freelance costume designer/maker based in Liverpool who worked in fashion for many years, before working as a teacher when her son was small. In 2016 she decided to give up teaching to work freelance and has worked in a variety of roles as a pattern cutter, seamstress, tutor, workshop facilitator…. but mainly in costume.
She has been Costume Designer/ Maker/ Wardrobe Supervisor for Imaginarium Theatre UK since 2016. Over the past three years she has been involved in many different costume productions in events, theatre, TV and film. Her main film credits include Fox Searchlight’s production of Tolkien, cBeebies production of The Tempest. She has made many other costumes for TV and has worked on Timewasters and The Secret Garden. In theatre she has worked with the Storyhouse Theatre in Chester has designed costumes for Macbeth at the Epstein Theatre in Liverpool.
