‘It's a supremely compelling tale leavened by its wry humour and a subtle commentary on the essential emptiness of American life.’ - David Jenkins, Little White Lies

'What makes The Card Counter so delicious... is that the movie undermines the Spartan swagger of William's half-existence as often as it basks in it.' - Alison Willmore, Vulture
