Cinema on the Square is our summer open-air cinema in Millennium Square, where we celebrate the music, movies and the unmistakable feeling of summer with a line-up of films that has something for everyone. Part of the Summer Series, an annual series of outdoor gigs from world-renowned blockbuster acts and emerging artists.
Our first ever Cinema on the Square took place on Sunday 30 July 2023 and screened Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical, Stand By Me, Summer of Soul, and finishing with a rare screening of the musical Daft Punk anime, Interstella 5555.
Cinema on the Square will be back for 24 July - 26 July 2024 for a larger programme of handpicked films to make even more unforgettable summer memories. The programme will be announced closer to the event dates.
