The INDIs (Independent Directions) Film Festival celebrates a love of cinema and encourages new and emerging filmmaking talent through screenings, workshops and events led by screen industry professionals and supported by the BFI, with a particular focus on networking for those interested in film as a career, as well as an art-form. At the heart of the festival is the INDIs Awards, championing and celebrating the UK’s young independent filmmaking talent.

This year’s festival will be taking place mainly at the Pyramid Theatre in the University of Leeds from 22nd – 26th February 2023. We are looking for a small and dedicated group of volunteers Venue Assistants who:

• Are passionate about the film industry
• Are reliable and available across at least two shifts from 22nd-26th February 2023
• Enjoy being part of a team and collaborating with others
• Are driven to help make the INDIS one of the best audience experiences for young people in the film industry in the UK!

Your role will include setting up workshops, getting audiences into their sessions, running microphones during Q&As, relaying technical issues during screenings, answering queries and generally helping with the smooth running of the film festival.
